Prideuntold is a collaborative project co-produced by Renée Adele Grothkopf and Tamara Loewenstein in partnership with KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme. The research-based, one-week Instagram Takeover (July 18-25) of the memorial’s account sought to expand the dialogue on queer history under National Socialism by featuring biographies of individuals imprisoned in the largest former concentration camp in Northern Germany. Featuring a new biography each day, the project took place during Pride Week in Hamburg, Germany.

The week concluded with an IG Live interview with historian Dr. Anna Hájková (University of Warwick), a prolific academic and author on the intersections between queerness, sexuality and the Holocaust.

Pride Untold was featured by the Arolsen Archives’ Pride Season 2021 program for our entry on Liddy Bacroff.
